Opportunities
Canby Kids
Youth sports programs are offered primarily for children in grades K-8.
Programs offered are T-Ball, Softball, Baseball, Football,
Soccer, Volleyball, and Wrestling.
Canby KIDS is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Funding sources
include sponsor fees, donations made by local businesses as well as
private parties. Thousands of volunteer hours are donated by parents and
community members each year, to create a successful program.

Canby
Swim Center
Swim year round at the indoor Canby Swim Center, located on South Ivy
Street. In addition to recreational swimming times, there are numerous
programs such as water exercise classes, swim teams, swim lessons, lap
swims, and adult/senior activities. The very active, award winning Canby
Gator Swim Club for youth is also based out of the Canby Swim Center. For more information or to rent the

Canby Public Library
Since 1937 the Canby Public library has served the informational,
recreational and cultural needs of the community. Located on the corner of
Third and Holly streets, the library offers free access to best sellers,
videos, DVD's, CD's, reference help, and materials for children and
families. Library cards are free to residents of Clackamas, Washington,
and Multnomah counties.
Through the Library Information Network Automated System (LINAS), the
Canby Public Library connects its users to library services throughout the
tricounty region. The public can access the library on-line catalog either
at the library or from home computers. Canby's World Class library offers
the latest information technology to Canby area students. Call (503)

Canby Fine Arts Center
A large modern auditorium offering
numerous entertainments including School and Summer Musicals, and many
other events. A place where our citizens can be involved and participate
for the community.
Clubs and Organizations
Whether you are a kid or a parent, there are many organizations to meet
your interests including the Mom's
Club of Canby, the award winning Whiskey
Hill Jazz Band for youth grades 6-12, the Barlow
Trail Sweet Adeline Chorus for adults, and the Canby
Historical Society to name a few.
Community Events - Wait Park with
it's old fashioned gazebo offers many community events including a summer
concert series, General
Canby Day with an old fashioned 4th of July parade and live community
bands playing all day in the gazebo, the Clackamas
County Fair, an active Grower's
Market every Saturday morning through the growing season, Swan
Island Dahlia Tours in the Fall, the list continues....
The Community of Canby - a very
active, homelike, "small town atmosphere" with a lot to do
and a lot to become involved with if desired. A very personal community very aware
and appreciative of our citizens.
